Set van 6 opnieuw gestoffeerde Patijn eetkamerstoelen – Set of 6 reupholstered Patijn chairs, 1960’s

Bijzondere set van 6 eetkamerstoelen ontworpen door A.A. Patijn voor Zijlstra in Joure. De stoelen werden in de jaren 1950’s – 1960’s van de vorige eeuw geproduceerd. De meubels van Patijn stonden bekend om de revolutionaire toepassing van materialen, zoals de buigingen van het hout, de verbindingen en de toen nog bijzondere toepassing van verlijming. De stoelen hebben nieuwe singels, nieuw schuim en opnieuw gestoffeerd met een blauwe afneembare stof. Ook de stoffering van de stoelen is bijzonder. De stof loopt tussen het houtwerk van de zitting en de rug door naar onderen en aan de zijkanten is de stof op een unieke wijze om het frame gevouwen. Het houtwerk laat gebruikerssporen conform de leeftijd zien in de vorm van krasjes en kleine oneffenheden.

Special set of 6 dining room chairs designed by A.A. Patijn for Zijlstra in Joure. The chairs were produced in the 1950’s – 1960’s of the last century. Patijn’s furniture was known for the revolutionary use of materials, such as the bends of the wood, the connections and the then still special use of glueing. The seats have new webbing, new foam and reupholstered with a blue removable fabric. The upholstery of the seats is also special. The fabric runs downwards between the woodwork of the seat and the back and the fabric is folded around the frame in a unique way on the sides. The woodwork shows signs of wear in accordance with the age in the form of scratches and small irregularities.
